On March 21-23, the International Academic Conference Brusov Readings was held at the Brusov State University.

The first conference Brusov Readings was held at Brusov State University in 1962. Prominent specialists on Brusov studies and young specialists from the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, the USA, France, Poland, Slovakia, Georgia, Latvia, and other countries participated in Brusov Readings 2024.

The solemn opening ceremony was held on March 21 at the Brusov State University. David Gyurjinyan, Acting Rector of Brusov State University, Sergey Kopyrkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia, Vadim Fefilov, the Head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Yerevan, delivered the welcome speech for the audience.

David Gyurjinyan, Acting Rector of Brusov State University, Alexander Fokin, Professor of Stavropol Pedagogical Institute, and Diana Sarafyan, the Head of the Academic Library of Brusov State University, addressed the plenary at the opening session.

The conference was organized in the following thematic sections: «The Issues of Creativity of Valery Brusov», «Valery Brusov and the Poetry of Armenia. Valery Brusov’s Translation Activity», «Valery Brusov and His Epoch», «The Reception of Creative Heritage of Valery Brusov», «Valery Brusov’s Creativity in the Context of the Dialogue of Cultures».

The conference was hosted in a hybrid format, online and offline.

The collection of academic articles «Brusov Readings» will be issued the current year, following the results of the conference.

Upon the completion of the conference, the guests visited Martiros Saryan House-Museum, the Garni Temple and the monastery of Geghard.
