04.02.1935 - Establishment of the university as a Two-year Teacher Training Institute to train Russian language teachers. Director- M. Sheukova
01.10.1936 - Preparatory Courses were opened at the Two-year Teacher Training Institute
01.09.1937 - Departments of Russian, Armenian, German, English and French languages were established
23.05.1940 - Two-year Teacher Training Institute was reorganized into Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute
06.02.1941 - Two-year preparatory courses of foreign languages (German, French, English) were established at the Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute for training of teacher for schools in a shorter period of time
01.03.1948 - A separate Yerevan Pedagogical Institute of Foreign languages was established on the basis of the Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute Foreign Language Faculty
21.12.1948 - Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute was named after A. Zhdanov
15.02.1955 - Yerevan Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages was merged with Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute after A. Zhdanov
07.06.1957 - Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute after A. Zhdanov was merged with Yerevan State University after V. Molotov, preserving its structural and academic independence
01.01.1962 - Yerevan State Russian Pedagogical Institute after A. Zhdanov was again separated from Yerevan State University and reestablished as Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute of the Russian and Foreign Languages and named after V. Brusov
04.04.1962 - The first Brusov Evening was held, later named as "Brusov Readings"
14.05.1985 - Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute of the Russian and Foreign Languages after V. Brusov was awarded with the "Friendship of Peoples" Medal for training multi-skilled professionals and contributing to science development
17.06.1991 - Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute of the Russian and Foreign Languages after V. Brusov is renamed as Yerevan State Institute of Foreign Languages after V. Brusov
17.03.1995 - Yerevan State Institute of Foreign Languages after V. Brusov is renamed as Armenian State University of Foreign Languages after V. Brusov
05.12.2000 - Armenian State University of Foreign Languages after V. Brusov is renamed as Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov
30.04.2014 - Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov is renamed as Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences after V. Brusov
08.06.2017 - Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences after V. Brusov is reorganized into Foundation.
21.02.2020 - Brusov State University is reorganized into Foundation.
