Gayane Viul Yeghiazaryan lectured at the Chair of English Philology of Yerevan State University in 2000-2002. Parallelly, she combined the positions of the Head of the Chair of Romance-Germanic Philology and the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages in Armenian Open University /1999-2003/. G. Yeghiazaryan worked in Yerevan Northern University in 2003-2011 first as the Dean of the Foreign Language Department, later as the Head of the Chair of Romance-Germanic and Russian Philology.
In 2005 she became a Candidate of Philological Sciences and an Associate Professor in Linguistics in 2008.
Ms. Yeghiazaryan was an Associate Professor of the Chair of English Communication of YSLU in 2008-2012 and the Head of the same Chair in 2012-2018 (later renamed to “Chair of English Lexicology and Stylistics). In 2008 she was elected as the Head of the Chair of English.
In 2017 G. Yeghiazaryan defended her doctoral dissertation and became a Doctor of Philological Sciences. She was awarded an academic rank of Professor next year.
Ms. Yeghiazaryan is the Head of the Committee on Foreign Language Qualification Exams in YSULS, has an experience of heading the Committee on State Graduation Examinations Commission in Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan.
Yeghiazaryan’s academic interests include comparative studies in the academic disciplines of Discourse Analysis, Linguoculture, Cognitive Linguistics, Conceptology, Literary Criticism.
Yeghiazaryan has supervised a number of BA, MA and Ph.D. dissertations, is a member of editorial boards. She has been the Editor-in-Chief of “The Banber” of YSULS, has reviewed various manuals and monographs and been an Opponent for dissertations.
Ms. Yeghiazaryan is an author of 90 scientific publications, has made reports at international conferences in Great Britain, Spain, Syria, Switzerland, and participated in training courses in Graz (Austria) and Granada (Spain).
