Quality Assurance Center
The aim of the Quality Assurance Center (QAC) is to contribute to:
- the continuous development of BSU's internal quality assurance (IQA), ensuring its consistency with BSU's mission and strategic goals;
- the alignment of BSU activities with the national and international criteria and standards set in the sphere of the quality assurance of higher education, as well as with the labor market requirements and needs of the university’s stakeholders;
- the continuously increase the level of BSU internal and external satisfaction of key stakeholders with the education provided by BSU.
The main functions of the QAC are:
- to develop, operate and regularly review the IQA system and the necessary regulatory framework based on the IQA policy;
- to develop, coordinate and continuously improve the IQA processes, evaluation mechanisms and tools based on the BSU QA policy, taking into account the requirements, criteria and standards of external quality evaluation;
- to support the processes of development, monitoring and evaluation of strategies and action plans of BSU;
- to coordinate the accreditation processes of BSU;
- to cooperate with all structural units of BSU for providing support related to the QA processes of the university;
- to participate in the review, evaluation and improvement activities of BSU structural units and academic programs in order to provide support and proposals for improvement;
- to coordinate the activities of QA responsible staff members of structural units of BSU to conduct trainings for them;
- to continuously make need assessment of BSU stakeholders and regularly evaluate their satisfaction with the university's activities, resources and academic programs, and based on evaluation results, to develop improvement plans;
- to organize and implement QA trainings, meetings, informational seminars and other events aimed to raising awareness on BSU IQA activities among internal and external stakeholders of the university.
The Quality Assurance Center emphasizes the importance of external (employers, graduates, other interested parties and society) and internal (students, lecturers, staff) stakeholders’ opinion on the University.
