The Faculty aims at preparing professionals that meet current social requirements and are competitive in labor market.

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Service is one of the young and perspective faculties of YSULS. The Faculty offers academic programs tailored to the higher education system and current social requirements, providing qualified professionals competitive in the labor market. Having adopted principles of student-centered education, The Faculty prepares highly qualified graduates. The student life in The Faculty is full of various academic and student activities and events.

Faculty Achievements

• The Faculty provides quality education in accordance with internationally accepted standards;
• The Faculty is in active international cooperation with The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), “Private Sector Development South Caucasus” Program, Regional Environmental Center Caucasus (REC CAUCASUS), “The Human and Biosphere” Program, “Silk Road in the CIS Countries” by People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), European educational programs in the fields of Tourism and Hospitality by EURHODIP;
• The academic programs of The Faculty are in compliance with those of high-ranking Western universities, and students participate in exchange programs at these universities (Halle University of Germany; University of Tartu, Estonia; Jan Kochanowski University of Poland, etc.) with no difficulty. Within the framework of the Erasmus Program by the EU, The Chair runs the three-year Jean Monnet Module for 2017-2020;
• The Faculty initiates opportunities to run projects with embassies, universities of different countries, national cultural centers of Russia and Europe;
• Faculty students intern at the National Assembly of Armenia, Constitutional Court, RA President’s Office, State Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, Yerevan Municipality, Mediamax and Armenpress News Agencies, Public Radio, Aravot Periodical, Yerkir Media TV, hotels and various academic institutions.
