Shushanna Aghababyan՛s ''My Erasmus+ story''

Shushanna Aghababyan - MA, 2nd year, Faculty of Russian and Foreign Languages, Linguistics (Italian Language)

It's a story about hundreds of doubts and "what ifs" in times of a global pandemic, when you start thinking about the restrictions, the number of new cases, but not the number of your dreams. One semester I continued and finished my studies in Pitesti, Romania. This is not my first experience studying abroad, but it's my first Erasmus experience. Two years ago I studied in Perugia, Italy: my first experience, my first fears and traveling alone for the first time. When you meet new people and learn about new cultures it can help you to become more open-minded person.

My first experience helped me to be able to keep growing as an independent and responsible individual with taking another chance to continue my studies abroad. So this year I got an opportunity to study in Romania. Have you ever dreamt of going far from home and have an unforgettable adventure? Erasmus+ is an excellent opportunity to leave home and live somewhere far away with open-minded and outgoing people. When you decide to apply for Erasmus, you decide to go on an adventure. You take your story into your own hands, truly becoming the epicenter of it just to learn that everything you've ever known could be multiplied in ways you couldn't imagine. In my mind there is no experience more meaningful, more enriching and more eye-opening than international student exchange.

I will end up by saying that going on Erasmus was the best decision I have ever made! If you haven't been on an exchange, don't miss your chance and apply for it. Keeping your Erasmus spirit alive means always having a keen eye for adventure, no matter where you are!
