For the academic year 2020 -2021, the second term, I was chosen to be one of the Erasmus+ students in Piteşti, Romania. Studying abroad has a huge effect on the self-development of the student. In my case it was one of my best and the most important decisions. It helped me to understand who I truly am and what I want to get from this life. It's a great way to accelerate your personal growth and become more independent - it's only you and your decisions, you are the only one who's responsible for your acts. We learn by doing new things and when we study abroad basically everything that we experience is new. It can be challenging at times but hang in there and we are in for a very rewarding experience with friends and memories that will last a lifetime. This experience taught me to enjoy every single day, every single moment, try to get every possible thing, be open to the new challenges and skills, never give up and live my life fully.

Erasmus experience is more about travelling, making new acquaintances from different countries, learning about different traditions and cultures, studying foreign languages, becoming the better version of yourself and creating unforgettable memories. I've had different moments: moments I won't utter out loud, moments I will keep in the inmost recesses of my heart during my whole life, moments that shaped me, moments when I felt myself in the right time and right place.

As I'm fond of traveling, I have visited as many breathtaking cities in Romania as possible. And after visiting each of them I noticed some changes in myself. I became acquainted with some great people I wish I had met earlier, with the people who taught me the most precious things: always smile, be kind and always be happy. So now, when hearing "Romania" I have a lot of beautiful, crazy and amazing memories in my mind. I can say this experience even shaped the greatest part of who I am right now. As Paulo Coelho once said, "Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't really you so you can be who you were meant to be." All this helps us understand and accept ourselves. Sometimes all we need is a push. By studying abroad, we will experience new perspectives, learn how to navigate different cultures, work with diverse peers, and communicate in other languages. Undoubtedly, it's a great chance to experience one of the most amazing moments of your life. Go for it!
