“Connecting Universities-Industry through Smart Entrepreneurial Cooperation and Competitive Intelligence of Students in Moldova, Georgia, and Armenia” project took place at the Brusov State University, Armenia

From the period of November 8th to 12th, face-to-face project management meeting of Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education “Connecting Universities-Industry through Smart Entrepreneurial Cooperation and Competitive Intelligence of Students in Moldova, Georgia, and Armenia” (CONNECT) project took place at the Brusov State University, Armenia.

The partner universities and organizations from Programme and Partner countries took active participation in the project management meeting.

Welcome speeches were delivered by Dr. Karine Harutyunyan, Rector of the Brusov State University, and Elena Simciuc, CONNECT project co-coordinator. During the first session, partner organizations made presentations on the institutions and their role in the project, the activities related to the project.

Throughout the five working days, the working packages of the project were discussed: the training of trainers, surveys that have been implemented among the students and partnering companies, dissemination events, the SMART Channel platform, financial management, and quality assurance of the project, etc.

 

During the meeting, a series of study visits to business centers and incubators were also held in order to enhance the relationship between entrepreneurship and university, particularly: AGRI-TECH, Incubator of the National Agricultural University of Armenia, “Case Key” Business Case Competition, DIGITAIN Armenia, Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies, Vanadzor Center for Technology.

On the third day of the project management meeting, the partners visited Vanadzor State University after Hovh. Tumanyan, within the frame of which meetings were carried out with Dr. Rustam Sahakyan, Rector of the VSU, as well as the professorship of the University.

On the fourth day the CONNECT project partners had a meeting with Lana Karlova, Erasmus+ National Office Coordinator, discussed the course of the project, current and upcoming activities.

During some workshops, the participants wrapped up the activities and discussed future activities.

SMART project at BSU is coordinated by BSU Career Center and BSU SMART Caffe Entrepreneurship Center.

The CONNECT project is co-funded by the European Commission (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency) within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
