The aim of the chair is to contribute to enhancing the students' English proficiency by improving their communication skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing), ESP vocabulary, as well developing transferable skills and competences: analytical, critical and creative thinking, research skills, teamwork, communication, etc.

The mission of the chair is to cooperate with other BSU chairs to train high-quality specialists who have a good knowledge of foreign languages ​​and other professional and transferable skills and competences necessary to be competitive in the labor market. particularly in the fields of intercultural communication, political science, tourism, service, public communication and journalism.

The vision of the chair is:

  • To provide a favorable environment for scientific-pedagogical activities with the active involvement of the academic staff,
  • To become one of the leading chairs of English teaching and research in the RA by promoting the use of new teaching methods and innovative research.
  • To create opportunities for cooperation in teaching and research at intra-university, inter-university and international levels
  • To develop new labor market-oriented bachelor and master programs to train qualified and competitive specialists who will contribute to the development of the knowledge-based economy.
