Agency of Partnership for Development of ARE Foreign Ministry initiated Arabian language trainings at the Cairo University non-native speakers’ language center from January 16 to February 16. The agency invited 27 university professors from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.
YSULS was represented by Kristine Rafaelovna, Chair of European and Asian languages.
The training also intended visits to libraries of Alexandru and Cairo universities, Egyptian museums and other historical sites.
Among the attendants of the training’s official closing ceremony were Hazem Fahmy, head of the Agency of Partnership for Development; Iman Haridy, project manager; Gaber Nassar, president of Cairo University; representatives of RA Embassy to Egypt and other accredited ambassadors.
All participants were awarded certificates of completion.
It should be noted that this is a long term project. In March, 2016 our students and faculty were in Cairo University by the invitation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, where they participated in one-month training. Within the same project, YSULS fourth-year student Diana Andreyan has also left to participate in the training.
