In-House Training “Human Resource Management in
Higher Education Institutions”

On 14 January 2016 YSULS held a training on “Human Resource Management in Higher Education Institutions”. The training was targeted to administrative staff members and leaders of higher education institutions, HRM specialists, education managers and other interested parties.

During the training YSULS team members of TEMPUS GOVERN Project presented the key issues, systems and strategic approaches of HRM as well as their reflection in the context of RA higher education. Training participants had the opportunity to discuss national and international HRM practices and their effectiveness from the perspective of HRM in RA higher education institutions as well as to propose new solutions to the field related problems.


Training on “SWOT Analysis”

On January 15, 2016 a training on “SWOT analysis” took place at YSULS for the Deans and Heads of chairs of YSULS. During the training YSULS working group of GOVERN Project presented the methodology of conducting SWOT analysis, its advantages and disadvantages, matrix of SWOT analysis as well as a discussion was organized based on several examples of SWOT analysis.

The aim of the training was to enhance the skills and knowledge of YSULS staff for conducting SWOT analysis as a tool for self-evaluation and performance assessment of different structural units of YSULS.

17 and 22 June, 2015 - Yerevan, Armenia 

On June 17th and 22nd, 2015 in-house trainings were organized at Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences. During the training Tempus Veritas project was introduced to YSULS staff, PhD students and research applicants. YSULS local team coordinator Hakob Madoyan presented the program, its aims and objectives, partner HEIs and organizations. Some current issues in PhD education and potential solutions were discussed. The trainings mainly focused on the detailed analysis of 10 Salzburg principles which should serve as a basis for the structural development of PhD education in RA. The newly published training kit “Implementation of Salzburg Principles in Republic of Armenia” was introduced. The meetings were truly fruitful with active discussions and question and answer sessions.
